In reviewing some of the works of nutritional pioneers from a hundred years ago, it seems we as a people have completely lost sight of what nutrition really is, and have succumbed to the propaganda of the food and drug industry.
Notice that title; Food and Drug Industry. Two names which should have nothing to do with each other. A drug is a substance which actually forces a change in metabolism without actually supporting normal function. Disease is not a drug deficiency, but in reality, the response of tissue starvation or poisoning.
The scientific journals which cite the problems of cholesterol collecting in the human body, creating hardening of the arteries and hypertension never look at the facts that restricting inositol from the diet prevents the normal clearance of cholesterol.
They’re not aware that so many foods which provide this inositol are the very foods they restrict from the diet. These include eggs, butter, raw milk, cheese, and fatty meats.
They aren’t aware these sources of cholesterol provide the best possible antidote for it. These are the phospholipids and lecithins naturally associated with cholesterol. When removed from the diet, we see many issues of cardiovascular disease and cancers.
Phospholipids found in food are a part of the vitamin E complex. The vitamin E complex looses as much as 99% of it’s potency when these phospholipids are removed. This is why I’m not impressed with commercial vitamin E supplements, which are just the tocopherols. Natural vitamin E facilitates cholesterol transport for metabolism.
Whole wheat carries a liberal amount of the vitamin E complex and phospholipids. Commercial flour, both white and whole wheat is treated with oxidizing agents in proportion to the vitamins present. This is criminal. In fact, whole wheat, having more nutrition, gets four times as much of this as the white flour. As a result, test animals die quicker on commercial whole wheat bread than the white bread. That can be frightening.
Because of the commercial treatment of grains, we can see why these foods predispose to cancer, sterility, cardiovascular disease, and a boat load of other chronic degenerative changes. The naturally occurring vitamin E is essential to the normal protection and wrappers of nerve fibers. This could greatly explain the dramatic rise in neurological issues including attention deficit disorders as well as dementia conditions.
Flour bleaches destroy phosphatase in flour, which otherwise would release inositol from phytates during the yeast rising period of bread making. Because of this, we see where they could contribute to all diseases that are suspected to follow inositol deficiency.
Another element of damage to phospholipids is that of aluminum toxicity. Aluminum is destructive to any phosphorous linkage found in food. When aluminum is ingested, blood phosphorous drops rapidly. Besides being required for phospholipids, phosphorous is critical for energy. In many cases of blood sugar imbalances, the calcium phosphorous ratio is not in the desirable ten to four ratio.
The research I’ve studied has revealed how food manufactures have belittled and attacked any physician who’s attempted to reveal the truth of how our foods have been altered to the point of actually being harmful, creating issues of malnutrition, for which drugs are manufactured as an attempt to stop symptoms of tissue starvation.
