On this trip I had a chance to re-visit something I’ve known and taught for years. After a beautiful ride from Surrey along the Frasier river, we spent the night in Kamloops. Dr Jerry Savelle was ministering there Thursday night. He had all the pastors present to come up so he could lay hands on us.
After this impartation, he had us all pray for those in the church that were suffering sickness or disease. While Pastor Jeff Edwards from Ontario was praying for a woman in a wheelchair with MS, he asked me if there was anything the Lord had revealed to me about her situation.
What came out of my mouth was that she needed to let go of all the guilt and condemnation she’s been holding toward herself, both mentally and emotionally. No matter who or what caused her to be against herself, the outcome ended up the same. Autoimmune disease!
Since MS is an autoimmune disease where the person’s own immune system is attacking their nervous system, there has to be a reason for that attack. Looking at the countenance of this person, it was clear to see she was living a life of self abuse. Both her and her husband looked like they’d been sucking lemons. Both were stuck in wheelchairs. Not an ounce of joy was manifest on them that night. That was hard to imagine, considering the excellence of what was taking place.
There are other ways autoimmune diseases get started, but self denial is one of the biggies. Anytime DNA is released into circulation, your body will make antibodies to that DNA. If the lymphatic system is backed up from dehydration or a toxic lifestyle, the debris from dead and worn out cells can’t be dealt with through the proper channels and can be a source of autoimmune attack. Damage to the nervous system from trauma, such as closed head injuries, or from chemicals like MSG or Aspartame (Nutrisweet) are other channels trough which we see autoimmune diseases of the nervous system arise.
Our bodies respond according to the direction of our brain. When we’re hostile and unforgiving to ourselves, the brain instructs the immune system to take out the accused. All too often, we allow what others think and say about us to be the reality we grasp and live out of. Don’t give others the power to destroy you from within.
The scripture verse Proverbs 17:22 says “a merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit (heart) dries up the bones. Happy people tend to be the healthiest people I meet. Forgiveness needs to be a two way street. Many times we’re capable of forgiving others, but the one looking back in the mirror is the one we tend to hold un-forgiveness to the most. Charity (love), needs to begin at home.
Your life, strength, and defense is manufactured in the marrow of your bones. This is where blood is manufactured. Your life is sustained by your blood. If the marrow of your bones fails to properly produce both white and red blood cells, you’re doomed.
When we live in defeat, and fail to embrace joy on a daily basis, we allow our own body to self destruct. On this trip I roomed with a couple from Vancouver Island. She’s been a patient of mine, but I’d not been aware of the accident she had a year ago where she had died, gone to heaven and returned again. She met Jesus and was thrilled to be in heaven but told her time is not yet. The two angles with her turned around and took her back where she regained consciousness and underwent surgery for hand and wrist injuries. The massive head wound was healed up instantly with no scars at all. The degree of joy she manifests continuously is nothing short of inspiring.
If you’re living in guilt and condemnation, get over it! Don’t hang out with people that put guilt trips on you. Jesus took it all so you can go free.
