Dr Wulzin found this nutrient to be one which turns on, or energizes thiamin function in the body. It’s a nerve promoting factor, improving transmission of nerve impulses. When dealing with what’s commonly called a bundle branch block in the heart, this is critical nutritional support, facilitating the normal function of the nerve bundle which sends signals from the pacemaker of the heart down to the ventricles.
Unfortunately, with current agricultural practices of today, the supporting bacteria, associated with the roots of our crops, and responsible for establishing this nutrient in the plant is sorely missing. This is one reason I like to emphasize how important it is to grow as much of your food as possible, and to use natural composts to keep the soil healthy.
The chemical Glyphosate, also known as Round-up, and manufactured by the Monsanto corporation, and used as a weed killer, destroys beneficial fungi and bacteria in the soil which are largely responsible for the production of living chemicals in our food. These living chemicals are the foundation of vitamins, enzymes, and coenzymes, making up the backbone of our metabolism. The nutrient which Dr Wulzin identified is one of these critical elements destroyed by modern agricultural practices that depend on chemicals to grow food.
This component puts strength in the vascular system, no doubt due to the improved nerve transmission. Your blood pressure is directly influenced by the function of your nervous system. Since increased nerve signaling has the ability to increase constriction of blood vessels due to the muscles surrounding the vessels, inappropriate impulses can increase your blood pressure. Too little nerve impulse, and blood can pool, causing varicosities. With this information, we see where issues of varicose veins and hemorrhoids may be influenced by consuming this nutrient.
Not to deviate too far from the topic, it’s been suggested that gluten intolerance in some people isn’t due to the presence of the gluten in their food, but due to the glyphosate that’s been sprayed on the grains. This is one reason I like to emphasize the critical importance of demanding only Non-GMO grains and foods made with Non-GMO grain. Isn’t it interesting that we’ve lived many years on this planet without any mention of gluten intolerance until only a few years ago, and the numbers of those affected has grown exponentially. (and not showing any sign of slowing)
To add to that, what about nut allergies? When I was a kid, there was never any concern over sharing your peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a classmate in school. Today, the presence of peanut allergy is overwhelming. So, what’s sprayed on the fields that is affecting the peanuts? You guessed it, the same chemical. This leads me to believe that any GMO, non organic food in the marketplace could pose a potential threat to your health.
So, in picking foods that have the potential of containing vitamin B-4, organic is your only logical choice. More expensive you say? Consider it the price of getting your natural vitamin fix. When gardening at home, it’s not ok to use Round-up around your garden or in your composted yard materials if you indeed want to boost the nutritional value of the foods you grow. The very act of composting allows the natural healthy fungi and bacteria to do their job. Don’t kill them!
One of my favorite times of the year is coming. It’s time to get my peas in the ground in a couple weeks. Presently I’m evaluating the soil and making sure it’s ready to receive my seeds, which I’ve saved from last year’s crop.
Since flexibility is an important part of remaining youthful, I’m focusing on what I grow, and what I can obtain through the best whole food nutrition. For the additional support of my system, I consider the use of Cataplex B, which is the Thiamin support that also contains the anti-stiffness factor along with it. If I need greater support in this area I can always rely on one which is truly wonderful for those suffering chronic constipation, resulting in low back pain and stiffness, and also a wonderful liver support known as Betacol.
