Most people associate Parkinson’s disease with Michael J. Fox, who contracted this disease at a very young age. Most people errantly consider it to be a disease which, if you happen to be unlucky enough, and you have defective genes, you just catch it. The cause of this disease is constantly side-stepped by the media with the greatest emphasis placed on finding a cure. You’ll rarely find any suggestion of establishing a cause other than genetic defects.
Due to financial reasons (which includes the potential of litigation), the cause of Michael J. Fox’s disease has never been disclosed, and who’s ready to take on the food and chemical giants, when they’re ultimately at fault.
During the 1980’s, Michael did commercials for the food giant, Pepsico, and during the later years of his contract, promoted Diet Pepsi. It’s been observed that he became a heavy consumer of Diet Pepsi throughout this time period, both on and off the set.
In 1991, Michael was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s disease. It was seven years later he disclosed his diagnosis to the public. The delay in reporting his disease from the time he was abusing Diet Pepsi, blurred the link between the two. Because of this, the Aspartame in Diet Pepsi has slipped by the public in it’s toxic effects. For the media to expose the link between the two could lead to some serious problems.
In 2000, Michael founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation, intending to discover cause and cure for Parkinson’s disease. Various groups contacted the foundation, revealing the link between aspartame (in diet colas) and Parkinson’s, but continue to be ignored. Instead, the group has donated $175,000,000 to researchers of Parkinson’s disease, ignoring all the existing information about aspartame. Researchers aren’t stupid when it comes to keeping the cash flowing.
The foundation apparently believes funneling more money into the petrochemical cartel will help find the elusive cure, for something which would require an admission of guilt to cure, and the loss of a billion dollar diet drink industry. The chemical industry continues to make their profits from treatment regimens with each new Michael that they create, while they continue to promote diet drinks as a healthy alternative, because, we all know, sugar is bad for you.
Parkinson’s occurs when dopamine-related nerve cells in the brain are destroyed. When dopamine is dramatically reduced, the nerve cells in that part of the brain can’t properly transmit messages. Aspartame, (as well as MSG) has been shown to decrease dopamine levels in the brain inducing the neurological decline seen in Parkinson’s patients.
A study from the Norwegian University of Science, verified aspartame is an excitotoxin, and neurotoxin, (particularly dangerous to children). These studies are never mentioned by either the Michael J. Fox Foundation, nor any mainstream media outlets, who skillfully avoid the topic of aspartame. Are we that fearful of the chemical giant, Monsanto, which used to be Searle?
Aspartame has been used to induce cancer in lab rats, for the purpose of testing anti-cancer drugs. It’s used because it reliability produces cancer in high dosages. Besides Parkinson’s, it may also cause MS, diabetes, fibromyalgia, reduced intelligence, obesity, asthma, muscle spasms, and 92 symptoms that even the F.D.A. was forced to confess.
So, why isn’t it banned? In January 1980, the F.D.A. banned aspartame, because research showed it caused brain tumors. This could only be overturned by the commissioner. Then, in November 1980, Donald Rumsfeld, who had been president of Searle (the company that created aspartame), was hired as part of the transition team for President Reagan. He appointed Arthur Hayes, who’s first decision was to approve aspartame for dry foods, and by the end of 1983, he had approved aspartame for soft drinks too. Hayes eventually had to leave the F.D.A. due to media pressure for his acceptance of corporate “gifts”. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the connection here, and this chemical is still present in our foods.
