When we examine vitamins, each one is a complex, requiring all aspects in the form which they’re created in nature to function. Fragments don’t work. The ascorbic acid is a small part of the complex, but by far, not the most important. The anti-hemorrhagic portion, or vitamin P, found in things like lemon and orange peel and abundant in buckwheat juice is critical to function.
This P factor prevents capillary damage and protein degradation. It prevents harm from x-rays. If a person is getting radiation treatment for cancer, it would be very helpful to get enough of this P factor to protect the healthy cells from radiation damage. Dr Lee suggests that the healthy tissues could be greatly protected up to ten times against excess radiation damage.
This brings me to the subject of frequent airline flights where the plane is less protected against solar radiation, leaving the traveler with symptoms of jet lag secondary to the radiation. Taking a complete vitamin C complex with plenty of P factor prior to flying is good protection against this excess radiation.
Possibly the most important component of vitamin C is the enzyme Tyrosinase. This enzyme metabolizes the activity of the amino acid Tyrosine, a hormone precursor, critically important the creation of all adrenal hormones. With an increase in hypertension and all the drugs intended to alter function of the kidneys through the adrenal glands, it’s easy to see a connection of poor diet and increased stress affecting people in today’s society.
Fever is a primary indicator of a need for vitamin C. When the body is overloaded with microorganisms, and phagocytes fail to properly cope with the condition, your body raises the temperature to stimulate your phagocytes. This stimulation wouldn’t be required if the body wasn’t deficient in vitamin C. The best way to bring down fever is some natural vitamin C, not ascorbic acid or even aspirin.
Another reason for fever is in children when bones are being formed. The blood supply of calcium has become deficient due to an increased demand to create bone structure while dietary intake is lacking. Interestingly, drinking hard water which is rich in bicarbonates, creates adequate calcium intake. The bicarbonate form is the kind required to stimulate phagocytic action. So, hard water is actually supportive to bone growth as well as improved immune response. So, wherever you have fever, consider supporting both calcium and vitamin C requirements. These both are part of a favorite immune support: Congaplex.
In the case of viral infections, tissue calcium is critical. Dr Lee states in one of his lectures that he didn’t believe it would be possible to have polio without a deficiency of calcium. In his scenario, the person in the sun, using lots of muscular activity, depletes his tissue calcium. The excess vitamin D from the sun pulls more calcium into the blood from the tissues, and in the presence of increased exercise uses up tissue stores. Since tissue calcium is what protects from the polio virus, the person is now vulnerable.
He states a condition where the city of Des Moines, Iowa put water softening equipment on the main water system so everyone got soft water. In one year, the polio incidents jumped up dramatically. Des Moines became one of the worst cities from a polio standpoint, instead of one of the best.
Refined sugar has had minerals removed. Since sugar has a tremendous affinity for minerals, when taken into the body, it robs your cells of their minerals. These minerals travel around your body attached to the sugar molecule till it’s burned up, then dropped wherever they end up. This can be in your joints, resulting in pain and suffering. This is why the chronic use of refined sugar, whether it be in the form of corn syrup or the many other foods laced with sugar, making them sell better, aggravates these painful issues.
It’s impossible to cure cancer without eliminating all glucose from the system. These synthetic sugars are extremely damaging to your body. Avoiding them doesn’t prevent you from enjoying the good things in life, but actually avoids robbing you of the good things in life.
