We have a saying around here, if you don’t like the weather, stick around it’s bound to change. Being upset over the weather doesn’t affect it one iota. That which is influenced is you. Change your attitude, change your life.
Proverbs 17:22 states that a merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit or broken heart dries up the bones. This is where the marrow is, which is responsible for the production of your blood. This includes the portion of your blood which defends you from colds, flu, and infections.
This is time of year we tend to gather together. It’s a time of sharing with each other. This can include sharing colds and other issues. Maintaining a strong immune system is critical to fully enjoy your time of gathering with loved ones.
Yes, this takes time and effort. If you’re expecting your doctor to do it for you, I’m sorry. My job involves assisting people in finding what’s wrong, and assisting them in correcting the imbalance. I can provide nutritional support and sound education, but the ultimate change rests with them.
I’ve noticed that those with a bright outlook on life not only attract others, but they tend to get sick less often. In many of these peoples lives, I’ve seen where they have endured tragedies, but have shown an amazing ability to get over it and move on. If you didn’t know them or their history, you’d not be aware of the difficulties they’ve endured. This ability to let go is critical to experiencing the dynamics of abundant health.
The apostle Paul was no stranger to difficult times. He writes in Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Paul had endured prison, being stoned, snake bite, ship wreck, and probably more than we could imagine, but he didn’t let any of this stop him from moving forward.
On the other hand, I’ve seen those who are still mourning their losses and forever wear a frown on their face and sickness like a badge of honor. Regardless of how I’ve tried to encourage people like this, they come back with, “But you don’t know how they hurt me.” Or something of that nature. These are the Eore’s in life. Regardless of the good things in their life, they can’t see them.
How quickly you can recover your emotional stature from unexpected trauma will mirror how quickly your physical body is capable of rebounding from physical assaults.
Counting your blessings and taking inventory of those good things in your life will ultimately impact your immune system. Conversely, meditating on the repeated hurts and injustices you may have encountered in your life will have an adverse effect. I’ve lived through elections where I saw the manifestation of the outcome I desired as well as the outcome I dreaded, but I never have allowed disappointment to live very long in my heart. I’ve learned the lesson of “get over it”.
Being angry only hurts one person. It’s the same as drinking poison, hoping the detrimental affect will impact someone else’s life.
Your endocrine system is a very sensitive alliance of many systems working together under the direction of your though processes. It’s your hands on the steering wheel of a highly sensitive race car. The slightest influence in either direction creates changes in your entire body’s chemistry.
When we’re embracing a thankful heart, there’s a balancing of our hormones, which has an amazing impact on cellular function. We see where cellular permeability can be influenced when our hormones are operating in harmony with each other. Transportation of nutrition into cells as well as the discharge of cellular waste is influenced by our emotions.
Think of your individual cells suffering malnutrition and constipation all at the same time. No energy and being poisoned by internal waste. Now take that to the grand scale and see how your entire body suffers when this is happening. This explains much of what I’ve seen when there’s a person who doesn’t necessarily eat healthy, but they’re constantly joyful and living in abundant health.
Take this season to go through an inventory of all the wonderful things in your life. Learn how to make everyday Thanksgiving, and remember, if you’ve suffered, Get over it!
